‘Wes Schlagenhauf Is Dying’ Clip: First Look at Parker Seaman’s Tribeca-Bound Road Trip Comedy Exec Produced By D’Arcy Carden

‘Wes Schlagenhauf Is Dying’

EXCLUSIVE: Deadline has a new clip from Parker Seaman’s comedy Wes Schlagenhauf Is Dying, which is making its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival tomorrow.

The film centers on aspiring filmmakers Seaman and Devin Das, who find out that their best friend Wes Schlagenhauf is dying. They subsequently decide that the best gift for their ailing pal would be a personalized video message from indie icon Mark Duplass. But when this present ignites an artistic fire in the two of them, a selfless act becomes a potential source of money and fame. Setting off on a road trip to Wes’ Idaho home with nothing but a cheap camera, some aesthetically appealing maps, and a van that reminds them of Little Miss Sunshine, Parker and Dev decide to make the next great American indie on the way.

Seaman and Das wrote the pic and star (as themselves) alongside Schlagenhauf, Duplass, Aparna Nancherla and D’Arcy Carden. Das, Seaman, Trent Anderson and Adam Maffei produced it, with Carden and Alex MacNicoll serving as executive producers.
